Built for the reception desk of a country house, not the front page of a trade magazine.
Rezlynx PMS was written in 2016 by two former hospitality operators who had spent the previous decade running the front office of a listed country hotel in the Cotswolds. Every trade-magazine top-ten list at the time recommended the same three PMS platforms — all of them built for city-centre chains, all of them requiring a full-time IT contact to configure. None of them made the daily arrivals sheet the housekeeping team could actually read.
We built the software we wished we had. Rezlynx runs the front desk, the housekeeping run, the guest CRM and the ledger, and it does so without asking the reception staff to memorise a keyboard shortcut. Nine years on, we are used by 42 heritage properties across 18 UK counties — mostly owner-managed, mostly under fifty rooms, mostly older than the concept of hotel software.
The team is small. We answer the phone. We work with the property directly, not through a reseller. When something breaks, the engineer on the call will have written the code they are debugging. When a feature is requested, it either goes in the roadmap because it makes sense for heritage estates, or it is politely declined because it does not — we do not build feature flags to appease investor decks.
The commercial entity behind the product is Heritage Hospitality Systems Ltd, a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales on 11 October 2016 under company number 14872365. The registered office sits above a Georgian bookshop at 12 Broad Street in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire — a market town on the northern edge of the Cotswolds, half an hour from most of the properties we look after. Data controllership is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZA987134; personal data is processed in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. The invoicing is in GBP with UK VAT, the support is in English, and the engineers you speak to live within an hour of the office.
We are not the largest PMS in the market and we do not intend to be. What we are is the calmest, most sensible option for a heritage country hotel that wants its reception team to enjoy the software rather than tolerate it. If that sounds like your property, the pricing page will not surprise you and the request-access form will not ask for a phone call before it will book you a hands-on trial.
